This is quite an exciting and huge resource.

It is a basic guide to what to do in youth group sessions. It goes into how to structure youth group time and then looks more specifically at some of the things you might want to do in your sessions.

This document is at a very basic stage. We have decide to publish it because it is a document that will grow and grow.

Can you think of anything to add to the document? Can you think of any better ideas than what we have come up with? If so, share them in this thread and you might well influence future versions of the document.

Of all the resources that we have published, I think this one is by far the most popular, and perhaps the most important.

The document started simply as a suggested framework for youth group time and a brief list of topic headings. It then grew to give some suggestions for each heading, and then those suggestions just kind of expanded.

Eventually - way down the line - I hope to make this document into a huge set of session plans and activities. Hopefully it will grow to become a complete syllabus for a senior youth group's entire life cycle.

For that to happen though, it's gonna be a team effort.

So Please add any comments or ideas that you might have to this thread or you can send them to me personally.

I think that the reason why people often don't want to give suggestions and ideas on CYW.com is a fear that their ideas are not good enough. Or perhaps a fear that they will be ripped to shreads. But fear not. On the first count, you may be surprised. On the second count, the mods and I have got your back.

If this resource grows as much as I hope it will I am hoping we can eventually publish it in some format. With due credit given to all the contributors, of course icon_thumleft
